Quiana BorgesWe finally caught up with summer student Quiana Borges who is happy to introduce herself to the Agassiz-Harrison museum community:

Hello,

My name is Quiana Borges, I’m very excited to be a part of the very welcoming Agassiz community and their beautiful museum this summer! I mostly grew up in New-Brunswick and decided four years ago to move back home and live in Chilliwack. I’m currently attending Sardis Secondary, and eager to graduate this year. My plans for post-secondary is to obtain a bachelor and master’s degree to become a zoologist. I’ve always been interested in wildlife. Ever since I was little, I fell in love with the world of animals; I only wanted to go to the zoo and aquarium, and spend free time watching the Kratt Brothers.

Other than wildlife, I’m very interested in history. This summer will be an amazing experience; either being a new tour guide in the museum or being a friendly face at the information desk. I’ll have the chance to learn more about our local history and work with our hardworking volunteers.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the community! I hope to see you visit our wonderful museum.
