Do you love local history? Are you proud to promote local business, tourism opportunities and connect with people from all over the world? Consider becoming a volunteer at the Agassiz-Harrison Museum and Visitor Information Centre this season.

Volunteers are integral to the operations of the Museum and Visitor Information Centre — you can deliver museum tours, complete sales at the gift shop, assist with special events, help with collections and research, and help travellers find their destination and enjoy all that the District of Kent has to offer.

Becoming a volunteer is easy, there are three steps:

  1. Become a member of the AHHS. Mail or email in your membership form and membership fee.
  2. Complete the volunteer application form.
  3. Meet with our Coordinator, complete a criminal record check and sign the volunteer agreement.

Once the above is completed, our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to discover your interests, availability and to complete final paperwork. You will be provided with an orientation to the Museum and Visitor Information Centre. Volunteers will be trained and partnered with an experienced volunteer at all times. The operating season runs annually from the May long weekend until the Thanksgiving long weekend in October. Some volunteer projects run year-long.
