Archives

The Agassiz-Harrison Museum archives contains photographs, newspapers, subject files, biography files, maps, documents and manuscripts from the Agassiz, Harrison Hot Springs, Harrison Mills and Seabird Island areas which make up the District of Kent.

Newspaper Collection

The Agassiz-Harrison Museum archives contain an extensive collection of newspapers dating from 1923 to present.  This collection includes copies of the Agassiz Record (1923-1924), The Agassiz Advance (1930-1999), The Agassiz-Harrison Observer (1990-Present), and The Voice (2005-2006).

Family History and Genealogy

The Agassiz-Harrison Museum archives includes information about area families, many of which have been documented in the Memories: Agassiz, Harrison Hot Springs & Harrison Mills two volume book set available for purchase in the museum’s LocoMotive Gift Shop for $25.00 each.

Reproduction Requests

Researchers unable to visit in person may submit a research request, which are subject to staff and volunteer availability; difficulty of research request; and a $20/hour fee.
