About the event
The history of settler logging and sawmilling around Harrison Lake and Harrison Mills very much parallels the history of logging elsewhere in British Columbia. Small sawmills were established early in the Gold Rush days to supply the travelling miners, and eventually to provide timber and fuel for the railway. As more settlers came to the area, the demand increased, and technology progressed. Explore these historic developments in our new exhibit!
